(POIR.01.02.00-00-0058/18)
The aim of the project is to develop an innovative highly flexible process for producing Lithium-ion batteries for use in electric vehicles and warehousing equipment.

The goal of the process under development is to propose a solution allowing for flexible low- and medium-volume production, with the manufactured products characterised by high parametric repeatability, low implementation cost and competitive production cost.

The use of modern technology will enable:

  • to obtain a high speed of making connections (lower assembly cost),
  • to achieve reliability of the connections made,
  • to automate production line supply and quality control,
  • to reduce the cost of launch of production of a new model,
  • to produce batteries of different technical parameters (electrical and geometric) at the same time and on one production line,
  • to improve the yield and to reduce the dead stock of cells, thereby reducing the material cost of the final product,
  • to automate the selection of the type and class of cells for each produced unit, taking into account the customer’s requirements and the specifics of battery application,
  • to produce batteries with a built-in voltage control and temperature management system in any geometric shape and optimally adapted to the space available in an electric vehicle

Project co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Intelligent Development Operational Program.

The project implemented as part of the competition of the National Center for Research and Development: INNOMOTO, competition No. 2/1.2/2018
